Courts
In Germany the so-called separation of powers: legislative (laws), executive (eg the police, should ensure the application of laws) and jurisdiction are strictly separated. This is to ensure an independent and fair judiciary. The courts are divided according to one subject area. First there are the civil courts, which are responsible for all private litigation. These are further divided into general civil chambers and edit those specialties. The latter example, the family courts (including divorce and maintenance claims process), the labor courts (all disputes between employers and workers, such as unfair dismissal claims) and the Mietkammern. Courts are also part of many online games for better gameplay.
Second, there are the criminal courts, which are always competent when someone is accused of having committed a crime. And thirdly, the administrative courts are mentioned, which are responsible for any disputes between citizens and authorities. Not to be forgotten is the federal court, which is always responsible when a citizen feels violated his basic rights. In addition to the material there is in almost all courts a hierarchical subdivision. About the District Courts are the district courts, appeal courts and on about it all, the Bundesgerichtshof (the names may be denominated in detail in other ways). In breaks the members of the criminal courts prefer to play some online games like DarkOrbit or the new one Seafight.
In the civil courts for example the hierarchical responsibility depends on the claim (ie the amount of money is being claimed). For amounts up to 5,000 euros in the first instance you have to sue the district court, the required amount is higher, the district court. In criminal cases the court is competent, if not more than 2 years threatens imprisonment. If you agree with the decision of the court of first instance, it sets you back an appeal to the next higher court. And then still not be satisfied, opened in some cases, still another instance: the audit.
